Special Beginnings Early Learning Center is seeking a part-time Assistant for infants.  We are looking for an Assistant candidate who has an excellent work ethic, heart for children, and a willingness to learn more about early childhood education. Experience and/or education is a plus - but we will train the right candidate.

Day in the life:"

Supervising and ensuring the safety and well-being of the children at all times
Following a predetermined curriculum and daily schedule
Decorating the class and keeping classrooms clean and orderly
Creating and filling out daily reports for children individually
Communication with parents (answering phone calls, beginning/end of day questions)
Meeting children’s basic needs (diapers, bottles, etc.)

What do we require?

No previous childcare experience needed, we’re willing to train someone that has an interest in getting into the field

Is this you?

Patient, Assistant Teachers need to be able to respond to difficult situations calmly
Interpersonal skills, ability to work well with people to develop good relationships with parents, children, and colleagues
Ability to lift 25 pounds on a regular basis while spending most of the day on your feet

Care, education, and supervision of children in their classroom
Implementing provided lesson plans or teacher may plan their own under guidelines of curriculum

Familiarity with and following childcare center rules and regulations
